Significant growth in the size of the Trust is being celebrated after three new academies formally joined at the start of the new academic year.
The addition of Scartho Gateway, Waltham Gateway and Kidgate increases the numbers of primaries in the organisation to six. Five secondary schools also form Lincolnshire Gateway Academies Trust.
Chief Executive Officer Martin Brown, in a welcome back presentation, welcomed all staff back for the new academic year.
“It is very exciting to have the three additional schools join our trust, making it 11 schools in total, he said.
“We extend a warm welcome to all the new staff who have joined our family of academies.
“I’d like to thank all the staff at Kidgate Academy for their positivity and hard work to keep standards so high at the school, despite what have been some very challenging times.
“I’m especially grateful to Susan Cook, who spent the last academic year as Kidgate’s interim head teacher, working really hard to get the school into our Trust.”
Mr Brown said the free schools at Scartho and Waltham would open, as scheduled, to children on Monday (8th September).
He thanked Executive Principal (Primary) Andrew Clark and his team for all the hard work put in over the past three years.
“This has been a very exciting project. I know the Principals Mel Portlock and Lindsay Holness and their teams have worked over the summer holidays in order to get the schools ready for opening.”
Mr Brown also reflected on “very pleasing” outcomes across primary, GCSEs and A-levels.
