Mr Philip Bond

I have been involved in school governance since 1983 as a governor and Chair of Governors for Waltham Toll Bar Academy and latterly as Chair of the Trust. I helped set up our Trust in 2010 when we initially sponsored a school in difficulty. Since then, I have worked with the CEO to incorporate a number of other secondary and primary schools into the Trust. I have supported and challenged the Trust schools who are all now popular and successful.

My background is the law and for many years up until 2005 I served as Legal Adviser to Grimsby and Cleethorpes Magistrates. I also served on New Waltham Parish Council (in a voluntary capacity) for 10 years, 9 of which I served as Chair. Since retiring, I have worked as a Non-Executive Director within the NHS for the last 10 years and now serve as a Lay Member on the Joint Committee of the NHS (local ICB) and NELC.
