Mrs Jane Aukett

I have been a Governor at Waltham Toll Bar Academy since1983, originally as a Parent Governor and then as a Trust appointee; serving as Vice-Chair for 28 years. In 2010 I was one of the governors involved in taking on Cleethorpes Academy and the subsequent establishment of the Multi Academy Trust, where I am Vice-Chair. The intervening years have seen the addition of five more academies to the Trust with most now rated as Good by OFSTED. I serve on four Governing Bodies, three as Vice-Chair and one (Reynolds and Pilgrim) as Chair and as Vice Chair of the Board and Finance Committee.

I endeavour to keep up to date on national developments in education having, in the past, served on the board of the Confederation of School Trusts (CST) and currently serve as Chair of the board of National Teacher Accreditation (NTA). My particular areas of interest are finance, Safeguarding, SEND and pupil discipline.
